To Listen;

To Teach;

To Resolve.

This is how Cris views her duty to clients. She is an active listener as clients describe their particular problems. She explains the options available under the law. And working with the client, she guides them to a resolution appropriate to their circumstance. With experience gathered over 35 years of practice, primarily in the field of estate planning and administration and elder law, Cris is often a lecturer for the NYS Bar Association and other CLE providers.

Educated at Middlebury College and Albany Law School, Cris is a past President of the NY Bar Foundation, the charitable branch of the State Bar which makes grants to not-for-profit organizations furthering some aspect of the law in NYS. In addition, she is a Past President of the Schenectady County Bar Association.

Cris founded the law firm in 1995, with the goal of providing quality legal services in a family friendly environment. Cioffi • Slezak • Wildgrube P.C. currently has 10 attorneys, and a total staff of 25.

Cris believes in volunteerism. She is a Past Chair of the Board of Trustees of Ellis Medicine and is also a Trustee and founding member of the Foundation for Ellis Medicine. In addition, Cris is a former Schenectady County Legislator and has served on the Board of Directors of many Capital District NFP organizations. Cris has received a variety of community awards over her career, including the 2014 Lawyer of the Year award from the Schenectady County Bar Association; awards from the American Cancer Society and the Lung Association of Northeastern NY for her tobacco prevention efforts; the Susan B.
