For Cris, the most rewarding aspect of her career is listening to the issues of each individual client, and addressing their legal problem in the context of each person’s unique family framework. With experience gathered over 30 years of practice, primarily in the field of estate planning and administration and elder law, Cris is often a lecturer for the NYS Bar Association and other CLE providers. She enjoys speaking to community groups, and has been a part of the Legal Project’s WTEN Legal HelpLine, answering legal questions on topics of estates, trusts and Wills.
Educated at Middlebury College and Albany Law School, Cris is a Past President of the Schenectady County Bar Association. In addition, she is a Trustee of the NY Bar Foundation, the charitable branch of the State Bar which makes grants to not-for-profit organizations furthering some aspect of the law in NYS.
Cris serves on the Board of Trustees at Ellis Hospital and the Board of Trustees of the Community Foundation of the Capital Region. In addition, Cris is a former Schenectady County Legislator serving from 1995 to 2005, and previously served on the Board of Directors of the NY Chapter of National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.
