Lauren practices in the areas of estate planning, special needs planning, long term care planning, residential real estate transactions, business law, and trust and estate administration.

Lauren was admitted to practice in New York having graduated from Albany Law School in 2011. Lauren joined Cioffi • Slezak • Wildgrube P.C. in 2011 where she has developed her practice and seeks to implement a client-centered advocacy approach. Lauren enjoys getting to know families and helping them navigate legal issues through effective communication and compassionate problem-solving with her clients. Lauren feels strongly that it is important to provide her clients with easy-to-understand guidance and options so that families can make informed decisions when it comes to their legal matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Lauren gained experience working with clients and obtaining practical skills while interning at the New York State Attorney General’s Office’s Consumer Frauds Bureau in the Brooklyn Regional Office, as well as at the New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG), a non-profit organization in Manhattan.

Before attending Albany Law School, Lauren was a Pforzheimer Honors Scholar and graduated cum laude from Pace University, earning a B.A. in Business Management. She also played competitive Division II Soccer on an athletic scholarship.

Currently Lauren is an active member of the New York State Bar Association, where she serves as an Officer of the Young Lawyers Section. Lauren also serves on the Elder Law and Special Needs Law Section’s Executive Committee, which meets quarterly across New York State to discuss important legislative developments, regulations and case laws impacting her clients. Locally, Lauren is the Co-Chair of the Young Lawyers Committee and the Co-Chair of the Trusts, Estates, and Elder Law Committee of the Schenectady County Bar Association. She is also a member of the Capital District Women’s Bar Association.

As a lifelong resident of the Capital District, Lauren is committed to our region and its residents. She served as the Treasurer on the Board of Directors of Umbrella of the Capital District, Inc., a non-profit that serves seniors and is based in Schenectady. She also served on the Board of Trustees of The Visiting Nurse Service Foundation in Schenectady. Lauren currently volunteers for the Foundation for Ellis Medicine and is a member of its Planned Giving Committee and the Cardiac Classic (5k Race) Committee. Lauren also volunteers her time at local pro bono clinics and individual cases through Legal Aid Society and The Legal Project.

Lauren enjoys playing soccer, running, baking, and traveling. Lauren resides in Niskayuna, where she grew up, with her spouse and daughter.
